Education

  I am a proud product of Bessemer City Schools, where I graduated from Jess Lanier High School with an advance diploma. I continued my education at Miles College, where I received my Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  I went on to attend Alabama State University and graduated with my Masters Degree in Elementary Education.  I am also a graduate of the University of Montevallo, where I received my ED.S in Teacher Leadership.  I am a member of Alpha Chi National Graduate Honor Society, Jonesboro PTA, and Bessemer Reading Council. 



Experience

I have been teaching since '2004. My entire teaching career have been at Jonesboro Elementary.  I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and I have served as a transitional teacher who focused on assisting students who needed additional support to reach their educational goal(s).

 



Bio

 My name is Lareka Windsor-Staten and I am excited to be your child's teacher. I am looking forward to a fun filled school year. I have been teaching since '2004.
